Automating a decision that takes months

Remodel estimates are deferred, not refused, and the contractor still in the conversation three months later is the one who signs. Nobody keeps that up by memory.

Module 8 of the Castells Media academy for contractors: Automation.

Memory is the thing that fails

The sequence that works

Capturing the enquiry properly in the first place

After the job, which most contractors skip entirely

What not to automate here

What we use, and the disclosure

The estimates still waiting. Put your own numbers in. That remainder is not a lost pile, it is a queue nobody is working. It is also, for most remodelers, larger than the signed column.

Do this next: List every estimate from the last six months with no yes and no no. Contact all of them this week, then set up the sequence so it never builds up again.
