Three kinds of website, and which you need

A one-page card, a landing page built for ads, and a full site built for search. They cost different amounts because they do different jobs, not one being better.

Module 4 of the Castells Media academy for contractors: The website.

The one-page card

The landing page for ads

The full site built to be found

What all three need

How to choose

What a service page has to weigh. The first three are measured off the pages that win these searches, not guessed. A 300-word page is not a smaller version of that, it is a different thing that neither ranks nor convinces. If you cannot fill one page properly, build one instead of six.

Do this next: Decide which of the three jobs you need done this quarter, and build only that one. Building all three at once is how a website takes eight months and launches wrong.
